How We Do What We Do…
To our knowledge there is not a ministry model that presently exists that envelopes our vision. Often if we plant a church, it is with the understanding that if we get the “church” established, it can become a light in the community. Our desire, however, is to transform the whole community, and out of that transformation, establish a church that serves as the center of that transformation. In terms of ministry flow, initially all of the following will serve as “fish pool” events that lay the groundwork for transfomation: networking with local impact groups (i.e. local residents, schools, housing units, religious organizations and businesses), implementing felt-need ministries to these impact groups (i.e. vocational training, working with troubled youth in the schools, benevolent ministries, etc…), sharing the gospel through the establishment of local Bible studies and prayer groups, visiting door to door to assess the needs and hurts of people. All of these fish pool events are presently in operation – some minimally, and some amazingly.
