Why Does Acts 29 Exist?
Acts 29 exists in Hamtramck, MI to meet the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of the people in its immediate community in order that it would become totally transformed for Christ.
Acts 29 meets physical needs by…- Providing home repair (Mercy Ministries see Axis for more information)
- Providing English as Second Language classes to foreign-born adult residents and refugees
- Providing lawn care for the city at an affordable price and job training for homeless men and women
- Training interns from neighboring Wayne State University
- Providing grief classes, parenting classes, financial classes, and home management classes for people inside and outside of our fellowship
- By training our youth and children in character development
- By training our youth to serve their neighbors through street clean-up and home maintainence
- By meeting with city council members and being involved in city meetings
- Counseling
- Friendship Building
- Home Visitations
- Sunday Worship Gatherings
- Adult Bible Study groups (Life)
- Youth Ministry (BT4L, Bible Quizzing, Camping)

We Believe…
- That God called us to Hamtramck to completely transform it for Jesus Christ.
- That God wants to win and save every resident of Hamtramck.
- That God wants to radically transform the way that the city government, the city’s businesses and the city’s infrastructure work. We believe that God wants morality and justice to reign in Hamtramck.
- That God will use Hamtramck as a light to the surrounding Metro Detroit area.
- That God can break the addictions and cycles of poverty, abuse and neglect here in this city.
- That God will come in power to change our city.
